Goji and Golden Berries Update This Classic Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Last Update: September 29, 2022

Is it even Thanksgiving if dinner doesn’t come with a side of cranberry sauce? Here, we’ve updated the classic condiment by adding spicy ginger and tart goji and golden berries.

Superberry-Ginger Cranberry Sauce

Yield: 6 servings
Active Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1-inch knob ginger, peeled and minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup maple syrup
Pinch sea salt
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
1/4 cup goji berries
1/2 cup golden berries

Combine orange juice, fresh and ground ginger, maple syrup, and sea salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Add the cranberries, goji berries, and golden berries, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens. Turn off heat and allow to cool on stove. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
