10 Years of Thriving: Thrive Market’s 2024 Impact Report 

We started Thrive Market in 2014 with a mission to make healthy and sustainable living easy and affordable for everyone. 10 years later, it still drives us — from our industry-leading quality standards to our company-wide sustainability practices. 

In 2024, we reached a longtime goal to welcome SNAP EBT to Thrive Market, passed more than $17 million in healthy grocery donations, and recertified our status as a B Corp with a 33% score improvement from our first certification in 2020.   

It was a huge, impactful year for us as a company, and it only solidified the commitments we’ve made over the last decade.

Our Biggest Mission Moments in 2024

We reached a years-long goal of accepting SNAP EBT. 

Since we founded Thrive Market, it’s been a major goal of our organization to accept SNAP EBT payments, and we even went so far as to petition the USDA to bring these benefits online. We’re so proud to say that in early 2024, we became the first online-only retailer to accept SNAP EBT — a huge step toward ensuring that access to healthy food is a right, not a privilege. 

We raised our B Corp score.

In 2024, we recertified and raised our B Corp score by 33% since our first certification in 2020. This was a continuation of our work from 2023, when we became the first and largest grocery store to convert to a Public Benefit Corporation, a legal designation that allows for-profit companies to prioritize a greater social mission.

We surpassed $17 million in healthy grocery donations. 

Thanks to members’ generosity, we raised more than $17 million for Food Equality Now — getting us even closer to meeting our goal of raising and donating $20 million in healthy groceries by 2030. That money enabled us to fund Thrive Gives members’ shopping discounts, assist our nonprofit partners FoodCycle LA and FoodCorps, and provide disaster relief to those in need.

We celebrated 10 years as a company. 

2024 marked 10 years since Thrive Market first began. We’ve accomplished so much over the past decade, but one thing remains constant: our members make our mission possible.
