Recurring Shipment Upgrades: All Your Items in One Cart

You asked, we made it happen. We’re making it easier to manage your orders by combining subscribed and one-time items in the same shopping cart. 

Our new combined cart feature is designed with your convenience in mind, making it easier than ever to manage both your recurring essentials and spontaneous cravings. Say goodbye to cart confusion and hello to a seamless shopping journey that puts you in control. 

What’s Changing in Your Shopping Cart?

With our latest feature update, both your subscribed and one-time items will show in the same cart. No more switching back and forth, no more juggling multiple carts — everything you need is now consolidated in one place. Whether you’re restocking your favorite cereal or trying out a new recipe with ingredients you only need once, all your selections will be together in one unified shopping cart.


Here’s what you need to know:


When you’re viewing a product, select the “Add” button to add it to your cart as a one-time purchase, or the “Subscribe” button to add it to your recurring orders. This step hasn’t changed. 

We’ll add in-stock subscribed items to your cart 4 days before your next scheduled shipment.
Instead of tracking your upcoming recurring on your Next Shipment page, you’ll see your subscribed items right in your main shopping cart 4 days before your scheduled shipment. (Tip: you’ll be able to see when your subscribed items will be added to cart right on the homepage or on your Recurring page.) 

Review, edit & add to your combined cart.
Use those 4 days to make any changes to your items before the shipping cutoff date listed. If you have any other items in your cart, make sure you’re ready for them — they’ll ship with your next recurring order. 

Don’t need an item yet? Save it to a list.
If you have a one-time item in your cart that you’re not ready for, make sure to remove it from your cart before your shipping cutoff date. To save it for later, click the heart on its product page and add it to a List. 

Reschedule or skip your shipment to fit your schedule.

We know life is busy and schedules are always changing, so you can easily reschedule or skip your upcoming shipments prior to your delivery processing date directly from your cart or your Recurring page. Or, if you need everything sooner, you can also choose to ship your items immediately instead of waiting for the scheduled shipment date.

Manage your orders and individual items from your Recurring page.
You may notice that the Recurring page also got an upgrade! Click the “Upcoming Shipments” tab to manage all your recurring orders, or click the “Manage Items” tab to add or edit individual subscribed items.

Track your order along the way.
Once your order is processed, sit back, relax, and wait for your delivery to arrive. As always, you’ll be able to track your delivery status to know when your order is shipped, in transit, and delivered. 

Place one-time orders any time.
If you’re not a fan of recurring orders, no worries! You can place one-time orders anytime by building your cart and checking out when you’re ready — just like you always have.

Never tried recurring orders? This handy shopping function can save you time (and money!) when ordering from Thrive Market, as well as ensure that you never run out of your most-used products. Here are the answers to some common questions about subscriptions. 

What is a subscription? 

A subscription is a recurring delivery of a product that ensures you never have to worry about running out of your go-to essentials. When you add a subscribed item, items you purchase will automatically be added to your Recurring page, where you can easily edit items, adjust their shipping frequency, or change the delivery date of an upcoming order. Members also lock in an additional 5-10% savings on thousands of products and qualify for exclusive free gifts and samples.

How does the new cart work?

  1. Your subscribed and one-time items will now be in the same cart. Subscribed items will be added to your cart 4 days before your next scheduled shipment, and we’ll send reminders 3 days and 1 day before so you have plenty of time to customize your box.
  2. When your recurring order ships, any one-time items in your cart will be included.
  3. You can still edit subscribed items, change or skip shipment dates, or pause subscribed items altogether by heading to the Recurring tab.

What will happen to items in my cart when my recurring order gets shipped?

If you have a one-time item in your cart that you’re not ready for, make sure to remove it from your cart before your shipping cutoff date. To save it for later, click the heart on its product page and add it to a List.

How do I skip or reschedule my upcoming subscriptions?

You can always skip or reschedule your upcoming subscription shipment via the Recurring page.
